An update! Finally!

Friday, July 30, 2004 | 23:13

Yes, so I’ve been slacking majorly in my posts…

So, TAR, still great. Last time they were eating 1 kilo of Caviar (being American, they had no idea how much that was). The looks on their faces when they saw it sitting in that dish… Speaking of classic faces… the look on Holly’s face (we’re on BB now) when she found out about the switching twins was CLASSIC. It was good. Thank god she was evicted, couldn’t stand her.

Anyway, now that we’re on th subject of BB (Big Brother) I have sunk to the level I never though I would in regards to this show. Yes, that’s right, I have subscribed to the live feed. I figure it’s a pretty good deal, only $24.95 for 3 months. Now I have one more thing to watch… like I don’t have enough as it is. It’s kinda boring sometimes, they just sit around and chat about boring stuff, but sometimes really good stuff happens… like fights or just crazy fun times… anyway, now that you all think i’m a complete freak, I think i’ll close this post out. I have been recruited to help my mom take care of our friends triplets tomorrow… oh dear god help me…

$250 and no idea what to do…

Monday, July 26, 2004 | 10:07

This may be really strange but I have enough Yahoo! points to get a $250 certificate to any store at GiftCertificates.com and I have no idea what to buy!! Any suggestions would be appreciated. The best thing is that I can get this certificate for Amazon.com, which means I have hundreds of things to choose from, but I just don’t know what to get! My points will start expiring beginning next month… that is why I’m going to cash them in. What is a person to do!?

Wow, this kinda shows how “busy” I am at work. lol. Anyway, I need help spending money!

why work sucks (sometimes) and other quips

Thursday, July 22, 2004 | 22:50

So, sometimes work sucks. Yes, those days are usually occur more often than good days, but we won’t get into that at the moment. I knew today was going to be one of those days. You just get this feeling before the work day really starts. You can also tell it’s going to be one of those days when you look at the clock assuming you have been at work for a good 2 hours at least only to find that 45 mins have passed since you arrived. Not good. Anyway, so I’m working on Cost Allocation for wonderful EMEA. The problem is spelled out in an email, in some language other than English (at least not a form of English I can understand) and I have to get the opinions of 2 other people as to what is really being said. I get an explaination saying that we’re matching things incorrectly… I really can’t go into much detail because you just wouldn’t understand, and I don’t think I’m even allowed to. So i’m thinking, “how easy a fix will this be, just find out why it’s not matching and fix it.” But is it ever that easy? No. I spend a little over 5 1/2 hours researching what is going on, asking more questions, getting answers from the customer, etc.

After all this time, i’m still no closer to an answer. I figure that i’m totally missing the point so I decide to re-read the email. Upon further investigation through other channels not explored in my first reading of the message I come to find out that we aren’t wondering why these certain things weren’t matching, but rather we want to know why we’re allocating the bills to different entities (this action is not allowed for EMEA). So, out of the 719 bills in this invoice, 2 were allocating to different entities… so I pull them out, test them… and guess what… they are no longer allocating to this incorrect entity… it seems that rules which were placed into effect earlier in the week have taken care of this issue… so this BIG issue that I have spent the whole day researching, troubleshooting, questioning, etc is not an issue at all… It was the most productive use of 7 1/2 hours of my life… OH MY GOD. Sometimes I really dislike my job and some of the people who work with me… ugh…

My other quips…

BB5 and TAR are still freaking awesome shows. No quotes from TAR episode three… except for one… (ok, maybe 3)

Mirna: “Does my hair look ok?” (said on the drive to the pit stop, god forbid she look gross for Phil. lol!!)
Pizza Guy (who knows their names? must not be really important…lol): “Bitch!” (as they drive past Mirna and Charla’s car, totally confusing Mirna, lol!)
Charla: “I just got electrocuted!” (said right after she grabs onto an electric fence)

And in BB5 news..> I hate Jase and Scott even more now. Of course Jase vetoed Holly off the eviction list, why wouldn’t he, bastard. Now a good player will have to go. Hopefully it’ll be Lori since she already won some money and not Karen. I think Karen can go a long way this season, if she can make it through this eviction round. Just FYI to all those people who may become contestants on BB in the future… NEVER VETO SOMEONE OFF! You will not last longer than 2 weeks after you’ve done that… you only make enemies in the house… especially the HOH. (of course, knowing Jase and his luck, the 2 week rule will not apply to him and he’ll win the $500,000 at the end of it all! damn!)

And finally! I don’t work BOB this weekend. Since the D-Backs suck ass no one is going to the games so they don’t need as many people manning the stands… yay! A free weekend! (boo, i’m not making money!!).

What a long update! I need to get back into my routine… but it’s hard to remember to write every day, but i’ll try harder. Current Music - Highly Recommend this Artist!

One last thing… See I,Robot (quite entertaining, not picture of the year material, but a good time none the less.. I WANT A ROBOT!!)

Ok, one more last thing… 3 weeks till Athens! Can’t wait! It’s gonna be great! Go TEAM USA! Dominate the medal count (like always!) I predict over 100 this time around! (sorry canada, you don’t perform as well when there isn’t snow involved)

Ok, again, I must say that I am soooo happy that the summer season on CBS has finally started. Where would I be without TAR and BB? Bored. That’s where.

Anyway, here are my picks for quotes from episode 2!

  1. Mirna: “I think I have to change gears or something!”
  2. Donny: “Shut up, I’m reading this! (to Alison)”
  3. Alison: “I hate you! (to Donny)”
  4. Donny: “You’re psycho! (to Alison)”
  5. Linda: “You outsmarted a cow! (to Karen)”
  6. Mirna: “Can you stick your hand in a cow’s ass? (to Charla)”
  7. Alison: “…mine keep having sex!”
  8. Donny: “If you weren’t blonde, you wouldn’t be so stupid! (to Alison)”
  9. Lance: “All the people there were useless! They were useless foreigners!”

oh, good times had by all! Love it! If you’re not watching, I’m not your friend… ;o)

Ok, it’s been a crazy night of work and now I’m tired. I’m turning into an old man. Time for bed. I have to get up early to wash my car! It’s sooo dirty!

My update on my two favorite shows!

Saturday, July 10, 2004 | 10:23

Big Brother 5: OK, it always takes me a few episodes to get into this
show, because it’s kinda crazy, but here’s what I think so far.

The two new twists that they have this season are SWEET! I swear,
it’s insane!! The fact that they are having a half sister and brother
on the show (when they don’t even know it) is sweet. Also! There is
an identical twin sibling thing as well, where they will switch off
during the show, which is kinda strange (and cheating) but i’m
assuming that they won’t be allowed to win, they’re just there to
shake things up. Quite amusing!

Usually it takes a few episodes before I can start disliking people on
this show, but it’s not taking that long this season. Here’s my
list… Marvin, Jase, and Scott. Their personalities just annoy me
(especially Jase and Scott… ugh, “frat boy” mentality anyone?).

The Amazing Race 5: First, since Allison from BB4 is on this show, I have a team to hate already! YAY! I enjoy hating teams right off the bat. Anyway, her team came in first, but I don’t see that happening too often. Let’s just say that she and her boyfriend don’t have a healthy relationship. Now, I have no favorite teams as of yet… but I have to choose soon, since a team gets kicked off every week (almost). I kind of like the twin girls, they know how this game is played… pretend to like the others and stab them in the back the first chance you get… use the other teams as much as possible to help your game… that’s how it works and that’s what makes this show so good!

Anyway, there will be many, many more updates on TAR 5. It is my most favorite show and I have to discuss it with someone. If you’re a viewer (and why wouldn’t you be?) please leave comments! I love discussing this show!!

OK! That’s all for now! TTYL!

(Program Update: TAR Episode 1 repeated on Saturday night on CBS!!)

Yay! It’s the 6th of July!!

Tuesday, July 6, 2004 | 19:14

Why am I so happy it’s the 6th of July?? Well, that’s because my TWO favorite summer shows start today!

What are those shows you ask?

Big Brother and The Amazing Race (the latter being my most favorite show of all time!!)

ooooooooooo… so exciting! Thank You CBS! What would I do without these shows to get me through the long boring summer season?!?!

I’m recording them as we speak, it’s better to watch with no commercial interruption.

Notice who I’m listening to at the moment… I would highly recommend you go and purchase his CD “Beneath These Fireworks.” Excellent work!

Not much else to post today, besides that I hate going to work after a holiday weekend… soooo much shit that we have to do… ugh!

OK! TTYL!

Happy 4th of July!!!

Sunday, July 4, 2004 | 21:40

Wow, amazing. Even though I had to work today, I still had time to hang out and celebrate with some people. It was all good. Went to my friends apt across the street from the park where they were having the fireworks. It was really nice not having to find parking and sit in the sun for hours on end to see the fireworks this year! Only thing that sucked was that this damn street light was kinda in the way, but it wasn’t too bad. I’d like to know how much the city of Phoenix spends on fireworks for the 4th… I mean, they last for a bit over a half an hour… hmmmmm…

What else to say, not much. Everyone at work seems to be getting engaged… kinda amusing (and a bit frightening as well). And they all seem to be taking 4/5 day vacations to get engaged… very interesting… (when i say everyone, i mean just two people that i work closely with on a daily basis, so that’s everyone.)
