Review – “The War At Home”

Ummm… yeah… what was FOX thinking? Who’s in charge of green lighting TV shows over there? This show is STUPID, ANNOYING, and HORRIBLY ACTED! I doubt it’ll last past mid season. It’s utter crap. Do not waste your time with this show! Who wants to watch a TV show about an utterly dysfunctional family where the parents yell and scream at the kids and the kids don’t give a flying rats ass about what the parents are talking about. Also, where the kids feel it is ok to lie to the parents and vice versa? Utter crap.

More updates to come soon. Monday there is nothing new on TV. Prison Break is on though and YOU MUST WATCH IT! It’s an awesome show.

Tuesday we have 2 shows on the schedule but you’ll have to check back tomorrow for which ones I’ll be watching and reviewing for you.

Another important reminder, Survivor starts on Thursday. Don’t miss a minute! (hopefully it won’t end as crappily as last year!! IAN – YOU ARE A COMPLETE JACKASS AND I HATE YOU!!!!!)

Beer Review

Heineken Light = nasty after taste. I had heard it was bad from some people but I was able to taste it for myself last night. No, it’s not good. Whoever decided to make a light Heineken should be fired.

“The Best Thing to Happen Since Beer.” I think not!

Reunion Review

Ok, first let me say that I am one of those who tries to get a few viewings of a show in before I completely ride them off, but there are exceptions to that rule.

On that note… I’m going to have to give Reunion another viewing before I can pass final judgment on this show. I can see what the producers are trying to achieve but I am afraid that they may get bogged down by their own plot lines. The setup of the show is that every episode is a whole year since this group of friends graduated from high school. An interesting premise but a lot of stuff can happen in one year and I’m afraid that they may move through the events too quickly and that it may become confusing to keep track of the time line of events.

Anyway, I rank the pilot episode a 3 out of 5. If you missed it last night, it will be repeated on Fox tonight.

On a side note, I can’t say enough about the new show Prison Break. You MUST watch it on Monday. It’s got great potential and I can’t wait to see what develops throughout the season.

Please share any comments you have about these shows!

TV (PREMIERES!!)

YES! It’s that time of year again!

Tonight – Reunion.

Check my journal on a daily basis to see what my opinions are of the new shows that are coming up. I will post my reviews of any shows that I have watched. I won’t watch every show, so I’ll try to post the shows that I’ll be reviewing the day they are on TV and the review will follow the next day.

Where else would you get quality reviews of shows except from the tlvsnjunkie?!

Why Me??

Why? Why me? Why is it that I get a great new job but then get stuck with a less than great manager? I mean, he’s not bad. Don’t get me wrong, it could be a hell of a lot worse but he’s a busybody. He can’t just leave me alone for one day. I have yet to go into work where he hasn’t come by to ask me something utterly retarded. I have no problem with him giving me directions, asking me to do something, etc. I do have a problem when I’m asked to do something that it utterly mundane and not even necessary. Last week I was practically acting as his personal assistant. “Can you make these copies for me?” “Can you fax this for me?” “Can you return this call for me?” NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Oh, another example of an annoyance. He’ll ask me do so something… like contact a vendor or something… through an IM… and then he’ll come by not 5 mins later to find out what the person said. As though I would have had time to make that call by that time. He’ll also send emails and then walk to my desk and ask if I got them. UGH!! So last week I was a bit short with him sometimes. Maybe he’ll learn that… YES, I GOT YOUR GD EMAIL! It didn’t require a response that’s why you didn’t get one!!!!

Anyway, that’s all for my rant today. Seriously though, it’s real annoying. Oh! He wants to setup an EDI training class… for 3 employees… yes… only 3. Utterly useless and retarded information he wants to share with them. Oh, but there is a plus side. “If we teach them how to do it we won’t have to do it for them anymore!” “Ummm… isn’t that 1/3 of our jobs? Production support? And if we take away that HUGE part of my day… guess what… I’ll be sitting around doing absolutely nothing even more, which I know drives you insane because you walk by my cube on an hourly basis to see what I’m up to. And, if you feel I’m bored, you give me GD busy work! AHHHHHHHH!!”

Gas

Gas prices are on the rise! It’s getting a bit ridiculous! $2.99 is the current price here in good old Phx, AZ. They say it’ll only go higher and that we may not get any relief until after October! AHHHH! I’ll just have to suck it up and get by.

Anyway, it’s now September and the new season is starting. What season? TV Season! Can’t wait! I will update my thoughts on all the new shows and on some of my returning favorites!

I do recommend that everyone watch Prison Break on Fox. The show looks like it’s a winner!
