Crime!

Here’s all the reported Crime in my neighborhood for 2006. This report actually consists of only homes in my neighborhood and the scary park next door!

I bought some Ortho Home Defense Max last night at the hardware store. Spent almost an hour spraying in my garage, around the outside of my house and around the front door (inside and out). I really think I’ve done it. I’m not going to count my chickens before they’re hatched but it’s looking positive! Last night I killed 3 crickets in my house. These could have been left overs from the previous days. Who knows how many were in my house before I sprayed. Tonight will be the real test. Fingers crossed that I don’t see any more dang crickets in my house. Oh, I’m also not going to discount the fact that we got a little over 1 inch of rain on Tuesday night… so that could have helped to drown them all.

I’ll keep everyone posted! Hopefully getting rid of the crickets will keep the spiders and other pests away. I killed a scorpion in my garage the other day… they are the #1 predator of the cricket but have a NASTY sting that can do some serious damage. Definitely don’t need them in my living spaces. This weekend (even though it’ll be sweltering hot) I may work in my garage to pull boxes away from the baseboards. Maybe I can recruit someone to help me… and by recruit I mean trick.

Goodbye Nakomis!

Thank god! She’s gone and her annoying voice too. Now, James won HOH this week. This should be interesting. He’s talked a lot of shit about how everyone is being weak and no one wants to rock the boat. Will he rock the boat??? Let’s hope he does and puts up Will and Boogie and have them fight it out to see who gets to stay in. But how will they do at the POV competition? Should they just backdoor one of them instead? Wow, this is going to be an interesting week.

Oh yeah, and I found out this last week that they make a shit load of money while on this show. They make something like $5000/wk and then if you’re the HOH, you make $8000 for that week. Kinda crazy if you can stay in 5+ weeks. Another update on Sunday (if I remember).

Two Things…

First: I’m a movie nerd and I have just spent the past 2 hours creating a movie trailer DVD. I am almost done burning it, let’s hope it turns out playable. There are 22 menus on the DVD so who knows if any DVD player will be able to understand it… hahaha. If it works and any of you people want a copy, let me know.

Second: For those of you who have a Mac and like the Transformers (what? A Mac owner not liking the Transformers?) here’s something that looks really cool as your background. Go to the Transformers Movie site and download the two backgrounds for the Autobots and Decpeticons. Put them in a picture folder you can use from the desktop & screensaver configuration tool. You’ll need to make sure they are the only two pictures in that folder. Anyway, set it to change every 5 seconds. The logos are so closely matched it looks as though the one logo is morphing into the other. It’s quite nice. Ok, so I’m a nerd when it comes to things like that… but whatever.

A few days behind…

Ok, so I’m a few days behind posting on Tuesday’s episode of BB7. Here’s the scoop…

The POV competition was today. The participants were Kaysar, Erika, Nakomis, Will, Diane, and James. It was a golfing competition with over-sized golf balls and golf clubs. The last person to get 7 balls in their tube (from f’ing up trying to get on the green) would win the POV. Well, I was hoping that one of the nominated people would win so Kaysar could put up Will or Mike (Boogie). It turns out that Erika won and she would be a fool to use the POV on one of the nominees. So, the nominations stand for tonight’s eviction. I really think that Nakomis is done tonight and that’s what I’m hoping for.

Oh, also on last night’s episode, Boogie had a birthday and the Slop house guests were not allowed to partake. Yeah, that went over really well. I think the Slop is getting to them. This could make for a more interesting season, especially if someone keeps getting Slop vs. Food!

Oh yeah, and Marcellas finally grew some and spoke up! Thank you for telling Kaysar he was an idiot for not putting up Boogie. It seems that S6 are realizing that there are some very dangerous sleepers in the house. If someone from S6 gets HOH tonight, they MUST put up Will or Boogie next week or they are doomed!

Work Fun!

So, I’m sitting here at work and I just overheard this conversation and I had to blog. As you probably know, I work for a company that makes tennis balls. Because of this, most of us have canisters of tennis balls on our desks. Ok, on to the conversation.

Credit Department Rep: “Here’s that credit application you requested yesterday.”

Customer Service Rep: “Great, just place it on top of my balls and I’ll look at it later.”

Laughter ensues since we all have dirty minds and take everything to the gutter.

Friend Development

Ok, so the guy who no longer speaks to me sent me 2 SMS messages the other day… yeah… him.

He’s deemed the 3rd Tuesday of July a holiday and celebrates it (probably just for shits and giggles?). Anyway, I got two txts on Tuesday wishing me a Happy 3rd Tuesday of July. Once in the morning and once after 10pm when he got out of school. I think he was searching for people to celebrate with because the two people he did call that I spoke with were both busy and uninterested. Hmmmm… what was the motivation behind these txt messages? I can’t ask because I’ve been forbidden from speaking to him… oh well, a mystery that will never be solved.

BB7 – Update!

A quick update. It was a nomination night tonight. Here’s what went down…

Kaysar made a critical mistake, in my opinion, buy not putting up either Mike or Will. Both of these players will probably cause major problems for S6 later on in the game. Instead, Kaysar felt it was better to put up Diane and Nakomis. Granted, I don’t like either of these players, but they are not as big of a threat as Mike and Will.

They also had a food competition and instead of PB&J this year, they have Big Brother Slop to eat. Not sure what’s all in it but it looks nasty! I would not want to have to eat that for 5 days and nights while others are allowed to eat real food. I mean, it’s SLOP morning, noon, and night! NO other options! It’s so gross!

Anyway, POV is on Tuesday so it’ll be interesting to see what happens in the competition and subsequent Veto meeting. Maybe someone from S6 will win it and have Kaysar put up Will!!
