Success!
I bought some Ortho Home Defense Max last night at the hardware store. Spent almost an hour spraying in my garage, around the outside of my house and around the front door (inside and out). I really think I’ve done it. I’m not going to count my chickens before they’re hatched but it’s looking positive! Last night I killed 3 crickets in my house. These could have been left overs from the previous days. Who knows how many were in my house before I sprayed. Tonight will be the real test. Fingers crossed that I don’t see any more dang crickets in my house. Oh, I’m also not going to discount the fact that we got a little over 1 inch of rain on Tuesday night… so that could have helped to drown them all.
I’ll keep everyone posted! Hopefully getting rid of the crickets will keep the spiders and other pests away. I killed a scorpion in my garage the other day… they are the #1 predator of the cricket but have a NASTY sting that can do some serious damage. Definitely don’t need them in my living spaces. This weekend (even though it’ll be sweltering hot) I may work in my garage to pull boxes away from the baseboards. Maybe I can recruit someone to help me… and by recruit I mean trick.

I didn’t realize you had a cricket problem? Still better than cockroaches I say (there are millions of them in Jason and Dave’s place). Sounds like you went to war with them anyways. And scorpions = bad!!!! Geez louise! You should move to Canada ;)
MILLIONS of ROACHES? WHAT? Get control of that problem, jesus!!
Ya….their kitchen isn’t safe between 9pm and 5am….the roaches take over. They come out of the drains. Also in the bathroom they are bad. There are many generations living there too, huge ones and tiny ones. But I leave tomorrow so I could care less. If they follow us to the new place I will take action to protect our property but his current building is DISGUSTING and totally infested.
