This movie was good. It wasn’t boring. It kept my attention for the most part. The director does a great job of showing how someone can become consumed by something. He does it without making it seem fake or even making the movie feel as though it completely revolves around the characters obsession. The movie starts out very well, it grabs your attention right from the beginning. Towards the end is where it starts to fall apart. It’s about 25 to 30 mins too long. They could shave it to about a 2 hour movie and it would have been perfect. Anyway, if you can get to see the movie for under $10, go for it. Otherwise, I’d wait until it comes out on DVD.It would be a crime for me not to mention that this is one of the best performances done by Jake Gyllenhaal. Maybe you should see it just for that? Hmmm.
