I received an email at work today.  It had a spreadsheet attached that had a huge file size.  I figured it just had some nice graphs or whatnot in it.  I proceed to read the email and come to find that I am being asked to review the data and get back to the sender.  The sender wants to know if it’s okay to delete all of these records from a table that our system uses on a regular basis to make sure good data is being entered on loads in our system.  Any guesses as to how many records were in the spreadsheet?

11,236!!!!!

There is no way that I would be able to review all of those records and say with any sort of certainty that it was okay to delete them.  Oh well.  I skimmed some today and they all appear to be old customer entries.  This will be interesting…
