Song Rating Update

I’ve been trying to get my iTunes library more organized. I’ve been deleting songs, changing tags and assigning ratings. The latter of these things is taking a long, long time. The use of Smart Playlists in iTunes is helping greatly, but the task is a daunting one. The biggest issue that I’m running into is that I’ll forget to rate a song when it comes on my iPod! There’s a reason why I have a playlist setup to only play songs with no ratings.

Today was a prime example of this problem. I was working in excel all day running reports, which is the perfect opportunity to just turn up the tunes and zone everything out. When I left the office today at 6pm, I realized that I had listened to 48 songs in my unrated playlist and assigned a star rating to exactly 3 songs. Wow. I feel accomplished. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day. Let’s hope I can remember to rate my songs. Over the past month or so I have manged to rate just over 1000 songs in my library. Not too bad, but I still have a crap load more to do. Ugh.

Rinse and Spit

Dental Tools

I had a dentist appointment two weeks ago where I found out that I had a small cavity on one of my molars. Why is it that the dentist feels like asking “would you like us to fix that?” when, clearly, who in their right mind would say “no!”? I digress, the cavity was filled the following week. It’s now been just about two weeks since this event occurred and my molar is not liking the filling very much. A tooth that was never sensitive to hot or cold items is now extremely sensitive. No good. Pair this with the fact that my molar feels as though it has a crater in it, I think it’s safe to say that the filling has fallen out! Needless to say, I will be visiting the dentist again this Wednesday. Let’s hope that everything goes better this time around.

Ugh, no words can describe how much I dislike going to the dentist and getting work done on my teeth. Maybe this stems from my high school years when I had braces and would make a visit to the orthodontist every month or maybe the fact that before I could get said braces, I had to have 4 permanent teeth pulled (damn you small mouth!). Who knows, but I hate it like nothing else. If only the alternative to not seeing the dentist wasn’t a mouth full of rotten teeth…

Who likes going to the dentist? Anyone?

Big Brother Update

This past week on Big Brother, the eviction ceremony was like all others, except for one part that both [Mike] and I thought was funny.  Each week, both parties up for eviction are given a chance to give one last speech to try and save themselves from being voted out of the house.  This week, the contestants on the block were uninsprired and their little speeches were boring.

Alex and Amanda stood up to give their speech and Alex worked in and pointed to what was written on his shirt in his speech.  It said “Keepin’ it Real.”  Both Mike and I laughed at this action.  Then Matt and Natalie stood up to give their speech.  Natalie had on a shirt that said “Heart of Gold” and both Mike and I hoped that she would also work that phrase into her speech.  No such luck, but it was amusing nonetheless!

This season of BB has been interesting but I’ve never had a season go on this far without my choosing a favorite.  I really don’t like anyone in the house this year.  I’m hoping that the teams will be split soon and the real back stabbing can begin!

Crazy Paula Abdul

American Idol judge Paula Abdul had the following to say after David Archuleta performed “Imagine” on last Tuesday’s episode.

Below is a clip from “The Soup” on the E! network.

Perfect Weather

The weather here in Phoenix this weekend has been great.  The temperature is around 80 degrees and I’ve had the windows open throughout the house.  This is the best time of the year… well, it really goes hand in hand with October weather.  I wish it would be like this year round, but then we’d have 2x as many people living here.

You’d think that I would be spending time outside with this great weather.  Nope, I am catching up on TV and movies.  Next weekend is looking to be just as great.  I’ll be taking advantage of the great weather next Saturday.  For any of you stuck in the cold, jealous?
