Last week, Survivor began on CBS. Thursday is a very busy TV day for me. I thought I had checked my “To Do” list on TiVo earlier in the week to make sure that all my shows, at least the ones most important to me, were going to be recorded. I didn’t do a very good job. I turned on my TV and was met with my TiVo recording “Kitchen Nightmares” and “Ugly Betty” vs. what I had expected it to be recording. I partially blame myself for this mistake because I didn’t do a good job at looking at my “To Do” list but I also place blame on TiVo. How hard would it be for the TiVo software to inform you in some sort of way when an item that is higher on your season pass list isn’t going to be recorded because of a conflict with an item lower in your season pass list?
This occurred this week because of Survivor being 2 hours long which caused it to conflict with my 8pm recordings. TiVo knew it wasn’t going to be able to record the whole thing, so why couldn’t it have told me?? It can’t be that hard, can it? If I was informed about this problem, I would have been able to get the whole show recorded on my other DVR. Oh well, maybe TiVo will address this soon in a software update. Fingers crossed.
