More evidence that Global Warming is a farce. Unfortunately, information like this will never be reported on in the main stream media. Global Warming is too juicy. Just take comfort in knowing that humans won’t cause this planet to burn up to a crisp.
This is me poking holes in your story. What you’re looking at is an average of the troposphere… so here’s what happens. It gets hotter at the poles, the polar icecaps melt (we know for a fact this is happening). Gigantic chunks of ice break off and float out into the ocean where they melt and decrease the temperature of the ocean causing cooler temperatures away from the icecaps. See that sharp decline? That’s massive chunks of ice. As time goes on, this process will repeat. Unfortunately, we’re not making new ice. So through this process we’ll eventually be left with no polar icecaps, and higher ocean levels. Did you know that in August for the first time in recorded history it became possible to sail around the north pole? It’s always been connected by ice to North America and Asia… but no longer.
Recorded history where sailing around the north pole was significant to write about. I doubt that was important to people 500 to 1000 years ago. Yes, we are losing polar ice but to say we’re not making new ice is jumping the gun. Who’s to say what the poles will look like in a year or two? It could get worse or we could see global temps cool down again. I’m believe that humans have an insignificant impact on global temperatures. I believe that global temperatures are affected more by solar energy and that the Earth goes through warming/cooling cycles. Only time will tell.
(Please don’t take my non-belief in Global Warming to mean that I think we should continue to pollute the Earth. Renewable energy is crucial and conservation of our natural resources is very important.)
