Okay, I called a different company to come over and fix my HVAC system. After seven and a half hours of work and just over $1200 the unit is fixed! I have a cool house now! Yes!!! I will post a longer entry about the whole thing later, after I talk to the previous company and see what they have to say about their role in the whole fiasco.

I hope this doesn’t get to be too much for my readers but I think it’s important to learn as much as you can about Global Warming. The video below is very well done and I think it’s worth your 6 minutes to watch the whole thing.
These holidays pass by every year and, for the longest time, I paid them little to no attention. Don’t get me wrong, I would send the obligatory card and make the phone call. I mean, that’s what you’re supposed to do. It’s what we’re all supposed to do. Now that it’s no longer a requirement, I find myself realizing that I never really appreciated the day as much as I should have. Why is it that things sometimes don’t take on great meaning until it’s too late?
The experience that began for me on August 25th, 2007 has made me a better person and have learned a great deal about myself and the relationships that I have in my life. Though these days may be tough at times, I am thankful for the memories that I have to look back upon and the lessons that I have learned.
Happy Father’s Day
The pool in my condo community is closed. Why? Well, see the letter below. We have a few people living in the area that can’t read picture signs and like to bring glass objects to an area where people (including children) walk around in bare feet. These past few evenings have been quite wonderful. Nice and quiet. The pool is right outside of my home and some of these same people don’t know how to tell time (the pool is closed from 10pm to 8am). Let’s hope it stays shut for a while!

I can’t help but feel for those who are living in the flood ravaged areas of Iowa. Some of the photos I’ve seen are crazy. Take the one below as just an example. Yikes! Let’s hope the weather lets up soon so things can start getting back to normal.
