Airport Terror

Below are pictures from London’s Heathrow Airport.

The one question that comes to mind for me is… would this plot have been uncovered if 9/11 never happened? Would the UK have been on the lookout for ths sort of thing? Who knows… but I’m glad they were!

Labor Day Plans!

So, I have some tentative plans for Labor Day forming…

It’s been quite a while since I’ve been to The City and I think that’s where I may go in Sept. Some people tell me that it’s a crap shoot on if it’ll be hot or cold.

I was asked by someone today “What would you do there? Haven’t you already been?” Well, it’s no surprise that this person has never been to The City. Anyone who has been there knows that there’s always something to do. Museums, Shows, Bars, Restaurants, and just general hanging out and people watching are all viable options!

Anyway, anyone interested in joining me on a trip to The City is more than welcome!!

Successful Weekend

A quick weekend update:

Went to SoCal this weekend with a friend to help her look for apartments. She’s planning on moving to the area and work for Disney. I wasn’t sure exactly how the weekend was going to turn out or how successful it was going to be. Well, everything went well. A whole lot better than I expected. We got to see some places and I even was able to fit in a few World Cup matches at the ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney as well as the Hurricanes vs Oilers game 6 on Saturday night. We felt so confident in our weekend that we made a spontaneous decision to go to the beach the next day. We had to hit up Wal-Mart for some good/cheap swimsuits and towels. I haven’t been to the beach in years so it was great We ended up going to Newport Beach which wasn’t too crowded, so that was a plus. The water was like ice but the sun was very nice. Anyway, a highly successful weekend and I must remember how close SoCal is and make more trips there to just chill for a weekend every once in a while.

A picture has been included below.

Crashing

I’m at work, it’s 4pm and I’m Crashing! AHHHH!! 4pm Phoenix time = 12am Italy time. Ugh… my body is screaming “WHY THE HELL ARE YOU NOT ASLEEP!!” Anyway, only about 30 mins left to go in this day. I have tons of stuff to do before I can relax though. Grocery store, laundry, go through mail… it’s a never ending list! I have 2 episodes of Survivor to watch, 3 episodes of American Idol, 1 episode of Invasion, more than 30 hours of Olympics to go through, and this week starts all new episodes of the shows I watch like The Apprentice, Deal or No Deal, and The Amazing Race (oooo, can’t wait!).

Oh yeah, I also have to get all my pictures figured out and put them on the web to share with all you folks.

Anyway, Olympics are over, I’m kinda sad. 4 more years until 2010. Wow, I’ll almost be 30 by then… YIKES! USA finished second in the medal count with 25 being beaten by Germany for a second Olympics in a row. The best performance by Team USA outside of the USA. I’m happy for all our athletes. I guess I should take this moment to say good job to the people up north as well. You got 24 medals, good for you. More than you have, in any Winter Olympics, correct? Now, let’s see if you can avoid the gold medal curse* that was present in 1988 – Calgary. How embarrassing it must be… (I’m sorry, I just can’t help myself when it comes to poking fun at you Canadians).

*For those of you who don’t know, Canada is the only country to host the Winter Games and not win a Gold Medal.

I’m Back

I’m back from a wonderful trip to Italy for the Olympics and for just good old tourist activities.

ITALY is by far one of my most favorite countries to visit. Firenze is definitely at the top of my list when it comes to favorite European cities!

Anyway, I’m going to put together and online photo album thinger so people can check out all my photos (and videos?) and I’ll post that link here as well as send out an email to those of you special enough.

Things weren’t all fun and games on my trip, stories to follow. I hope to post some of that stuff today sometime. Maybe when I’m at work and bored, like I know I will be.

Ciao!!

P.S. I’m awake like you wouldn’t believe. Woke up at 4am on the dot because that’s noon in Italy and my stomach was saying… “hey, it’s lunch time, feed me!!”

Olympics Begin

The XX Winter Games begin today! I can’t wait to see the Opening Ceremony tonight.

I leave in 6 days, I’m so excited!!

USA! Bring home the gold.

Canada, what’s this I hear about you wanting to bring home over 35 medals? A bit of a lofty goal, isn’t it?

Remember Harry Potter

Ahhh… remembering Harry Potter. Yes, the last film I enjoyed while I was in Canada visiting Stacey. Can you imagine?!? That was sooo freaking long ago. I enjoyed it because it was a helluva lot cheaper seeing it there then here in the States (Canadian money is such a good deal for we Americans). My ticket cost me $9.50 for Thursday night. Isn’t a midnight show technically a “before 6pm” show? Hmmm… maybe I should write a letter!

Anyway, upon reminiscing about my trip to Canada, I am reminded of how I dominated Christine at Air Hockey. Never mind what she seems to remember because I think all that working at blockbuster has messed up her brain.

Yes, Derailed is GREAT. Read Stacy’s entry about it. I agree with her wholeheartedly. That one scene is very DISTURBING but it’s definitely an important part of the whole plot.

Ok, time to get back to work. BTW, I’m only 6 chapters from the end of book 6. I figure I’d better read it before the movie comes out because I’m bound to hear what happens in the book while waiting in line… If I had the ending ruined for me I don’t think I’d ever recover!

Hmm…

Ok, first let me say, my house is coming along wonderfully! They finally opened the model homes and I was able to post pictures of that on my site. You should visit it again to check them out. I went and measured all the rooms in that place yesterday, now I can seriously plan on what sort of things I want to buy for it!

My new job at Head Penn Racquet Sports is awesome! I love it, the people there are great. Of course, for me it takes a bit of time to really get to know people but I think it’s going well. Also, there are travel opportunities that I may be able to take advantage of in my position… so we’ll see. (note to you Canadians, our office in Canada (Head Canada) is based in Guelph, so keep your fingers crossed, I could be visiting on my employers dime in the future).

Now, let me just say that I hate it when issues arise with friends. It’s annoying and it just makes things crappy. I’m sure you’ve all experienced this sort of thing before. Let me just say that I hate it when people act childish and when they don’t acknowledge the fact that they were being childish when you bring it up to them. Also, I hate it when guys act like girls (no offense) when it comes to dealing with issues, I mean, that’s one of the joys of being a guy. Some background info on what’s going on my be needed… so if you want it,email me (or call if you have the number) and i will share, I enjoy getting other’s opinions on the matter. Just do me one favor in all your dealings with your friends, if you don’t want to participate in the event that has been planned, just say so, don’t say that you’re interested and just blow the person off when the date arrives.

On another note, I made my final big purchase for my trip to Torino in 2006. I now have airline tickets to/from Italy. Yay! The months will just fly by now, I can feel it. It’ll be February 2006 before I know it. On the Olympic note, I believe next week is the announcement for the 2012 games. I just pray that Paris doesn’t get them. I’d really like for them to come to NYC but I don’t think that’ll happen because of Vancouver 2010. I’ll post the result on my blog when the news breaks, so if you don’t find out about the result on the news, you can come here for the info!

Ok, time to get ready to go to a movie with my sister and her friend. Later people.
